A Vacation during Vacation

I will be away for about 8 days or so visiting my beloved Bretagne and taking a look at Chartres Cathedral. I hope to get some more Brittany sea salt and other local treats. Hope everyone has lots of foodie fun. I'll be back with pictures and tales next Monday. In the mean time, enjoy the recipe for Boeuf Bourguignon
Ta-ra for now! Or should I say 'A bientôt!'

Mmm. The buckwheat crepes of Bretagne! Please eat one for me! Maybe with a fried egg for breakfast?

I'm so happy for you that you will be visiting Chartres Cathedral. I was there last fall and walked the labyrinthe - twice! Such a beautiful church in such a beautiful town in such a beautiful region of the world! Lucky you!
PS - your travel narrative, punctuated with photos of castles and food, is a delight to read. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks to those who dropped in:

Bonnie: is 1000 enough? ;-)

sumitha: thanks to you. I did have a nice time

kalyn: it's a great kind--it's still wet from the sea.

juliamazal: I did eat crepes. I had three for lunch: One had scrambled egg and the other was with a sunny side up egg *s* The other had chesnut paste in it YUM!

christine: alas, no labyrinth walking for me. It was covered with chairs! However I do feel I was lucky to be there. I just wish I'd had longer to stay and just look at it all. Let all soak in.
I'm glad you liked it. I doubt my Brittany ones will be as wordy but who
knows, eh?
